What is Fall Line in Snowboarding?

October 28, 2017

In this beginner snowboard video I've got some tips for stopping across the fall line. Understanding the fall line will help beginner snowboarders learn quicker and avoid frustration!  If you're a beginner snowboarder you may not know what the fall line is, but it simple once you understand the concept. The fall line is the most direct line down the slope. If you rolled a ball down the hill, it would follow the fall line. When you are learning to snowboard you always want to stop your board across the fall line. By understanding fall line, you'll be able to read the slope and adjust your snowboarding. The fall line is different on every run so always be aware, especially when you're a beginner snowboarder.
