In this video we're waiting in line to snowboard on the Blackcomb glacier. It takes the safety patrol a few hours to do their avalanche controls and make it safe for snowboarding. Last night we got 30 cm's of new snow and everyone wants to be first snowboarding on the glacier. We came prepared for the mountain today with low light lenses and our snowboard stances set back for the powder. We also have our powder skirts on for any crashes. We were lucky to be among the first 50 people on the glacier and didn't have to fight too much to get onto the run. The winds were gusty in areas which made the snow conditions for snowboarding variable between deep powder and wind blown conditions. This was our first time snowboarding this run this year, so we were cautious checking out the terrain.
